Ahoy all Montreal area boaters! Need a PCOC licence? The West Island
unit of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron (CPS) offers a full range
of boating courses in Beaconsfield, Quebec.
The Boating Basics course prepares you for the Pleasure Craft Operator Card exam which leads to the boat licence (valid for life).
Have a marine radio on your vessel? If so, an operator’s permit is required and our VHF Maritime radio course leads to the Restricted Operator’s Certificate (Marine) exam.
Join our West Island CPS Squadron and discover the world of boating every fall and winter at the Beaconsfield or Lord Reading Yacht Clubs.
From basic boat safety to advanced boat handling techniques, seamanship, piloting,
GPS navigation and charting and more, our power and sail courses will get you and your family out on the water and back – safely.
